e-Compressor

The e-Compressor is the main component for the operation of the Air Conditioner (A/C) in the automotive air conditioning system. The conventional e-Compressor of the internal combustion engine usually has only served to provide a comfortable environment for passengers, but now the e-Commpressor of hybrid and electric vehicles not only cools the interior through air conditioning but also cools the battery that supplies power to the vehicle. Thus, the failure of the air conditioner in an internal combustion engine vehicle does not raise the issues related to operation and safety in any way while it does in an electric vehicle. Consequenlty, it is essential that the power semiconductor of e-Compressor must have the highest reliability and robustness along with efficiency.
